Dear Ms. Chapman,
Thank you for reviewing our request for minor variance. I am responding to the Oversight and Express
Permits Unit request for more information regarding: buffer mitigation and stormwater management.
Buffer Mitigation Plan
We propose planting a Maple tree in the buffer area between the porch and the UT to Swift Creek.
As previously noted in our 7/20/07 application, there is a large, untouched natural area all along the creek -
approximately 25' in depth going outwards from the top of the bank. Maples seem to be thriving in this
area, so we have chosen a Maple to add to this buffer mitigation.
Stormwater Mana eg ment
We have amended our design to place the roof downspout at the side of the house which is outside the
riparian buffer zone. The downspout will point perpendicular to the creek... providing the greatest
distance from downspout to creek.
