Field Operations Department City of Greensboro February 23, 2022 TO: White Street Landfill SWPPP FROM: Lorien R. Deaton SUBJECT: Tier One Stormwater Management Inspection Report White Street Landfill, Greensboro, NC General Permit No. NCG120013 Stormwater Management Inspection On 2/23/2022, I completed an investigation of possible causes of a Tier I benchmark value exceedance for Outfalls 001. The stormwater sample was taken on 02/03/2022 and the lab results were received on 02/23/2022. GREENSBORO For Outfall 001, TSS was 107mg/L (benchmark of 100mg/L). There is one major cause for the exceedance. There is a culvert leading to one of the outfall ponds that has washed out, leading to excess sediment washing downstream. I notified the landfill supervisor and landfill manager of the exceedance. They are working to find a contractor to replace the culvert and repair the erosion that's occurred. Sincerely, Lori en Deaton Environmental Services Analyst Field Operations — City of Greensboro 336-209-8934 Lorien.deaton@greensboro-nc.gov cc: Richard Lovett, P.G. The 72-hour storm interval does not apply if the permittee is able to document that a shorter interval is representative for local storm events during the sampling period, and the permittee obtains approval from the local DEMLR Regional Office.
