This is a WWTP, not WTP. No red flags- currently secondary limits with huge dilution (IWC= 0.5%). Discharge to French

Good morning .
I am reaching out to you on behalf of Martin Lashua with Carolina Water Service in regard to their Connestee Falls WTP
operated under their Transylvania Utilities , Inc corporation ( NC0024295) . The condition of this facility has reached the
stage of needing substantial repairs and has led to consideration of a total plant replacement . However , the
rated/permitted plant capacity in the current permit of 0.3 MGD is insufficient to serve the full projected build out of the
Connestee Falls Development .
We would like torequest the opportunity to have a work session with you and your staff to discuss a number of aspects of
this project before we initiate any action toward modification of their permit or design of a new facility . Topics for our
discussion would include review the condition of the existing plant , review of historical flows to the plant and discuss
potential unit flow reduction request , build out flow projections , NPDES permit review and discussion of potential permit
modification / expansion , discussion of new plant location and processes , and implementation schedule .
We believe this work session would beneficial to all of us before launching into this project and we would very much
appreciate your assistance in coordinating this initial meeting .
If you could identify some dates / times that would work I will coordinate with CWS representatives who would attend . We
have not approached staff at the Regional Office so please also let us know if their participation would be desired and if
we need to coordinate with them .
