A portion of the project area is within undeveloped forested land adjacent to Poole Road, while the remainder is located within maintained road right-of-way and existing maintained overhead utility line right-of-way. Proposed Activity Provide a detailed description of the proposed activity including its purpose and include the type of equipment to be used: * The project improvements will include developing a new utility corridor, replacing poles, overhead lines and guys, and tree trimming along an existing utility right-of- way. The maximum tree width clearing is 30 feet wide. All tree clearing will be conducted by hand and the stumps will remain in place. No grubbing or grading is proposed. Construction matting will be placed within wetlands to minimize soil disturbance. No instream work is proposed. Erosion and sediment control measures will be installed. All poles or aerial infrastructure will not be installed within 10 feet of a waterbody. No indirect impacts are anticipated. The PCN was submitted for courtesy copy only for 404/401. Concurrence from USACE that no permit required is attached. We did not realize that the buffer authorization portion of the PCN would not be reviewed by selecting the For Notification Only box. As such, the information is being resubmitted via the : https://edocs.deq.nc.gov/Forms/Buffer-Authorization portal.
