This inspection was conducted as a Compliance Evaluation Inspection (CEI) to ensure compliance with permit requirements and conditions. The subject facility appeared to be well operated, and we wish to thank the operating staff for assistance regarding this inspection. Discharge via outfall #001 is to an unnamed tributary to Muddy Creek which is classified as Class C waters in the Yadkin Pee -Dee River Basin. Discharge consists of non -contact cooling water and compressor condensate. A cursory review of stream, located 100 feet downstream of discharge point, found the following Group One Taxa: Caddisflys, gilled snails, dobsonfly (Hellgrammite). Group Two Taxa: Crayfish, Midge Fly Larva. At time of subject inspection stream did not appear to be impacted by discharge. Records Review found records well kept with laboratory analyses and chain of custody avalible for review. Facility uses Pace Analytical Laboratory (NCWW Certification #12) to conduct required analyses. It was noted during inspection improvements to chemical room. Chemicals used are in skid -mount storage tanks with secondary containment. Chemical room was clean and orderly. At time of inspection, facility appeared to be compliant with Certification of Coverage #NCG500604.
