Hannah, I have reached out to the Biological Surveys group to see if they have encountered this
issued before and how it was handled. They have not returned my call. Based on some research I
did yesterday, it seems there are a lot questions and lack of direction on MBTA and construction. I
was able to find the guidance below on the FHWA website. If I don’t hear back from BSG soon, we’ll
contact Gary Jordan and get his input.

Just to follow up..
I didn’t get a great ID of the birds, i’m thinking now they could be Swallows not Martin’s (can’t
remember if they had a forked tail or not)but either way I think I’m going to go by the bridge
tomorrow after the mitigation site visit to get a better look. And will send pics.
