The North Carolina Division of Water Resources conducted an inspection of the Corpening Creek WWTP Post
Closure Care Program SDU on 4/14/2022. This inspection was conducted to verify that the facility is operating
in compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in Non-discharge Permit No. WQ0003698. The
findings and comments noted during this inspection are provided in the enclosed copy of the inspection report
entitled "Compliance Inspection Report".

There were no significant issues or findings noted during the inspection and therefore, a response to this
inspection report is not required.

Mikal Willmer, with the Asheville Regional Office, conducted a review of the City of Marion’s Post Closure Care Surface
Disposal Unit Annual Report on April 14, 2022.
The Annual Report submittal is in compliance with the requirements of Permit No. WQ0003698. This is a post closure care
program and is not permitted for active disposal. The City’s permit is currently in renewal and requirements for corrective
action pertaining to ground water exceedances and identification of historic surface disposal units will be addressed
separately.
