This review was conducted to determine whether the facility processed and monitored all residuals in compliance with Permit No. WQ0013116. The Town appears to be operating the program in compliance with all requirements of their DCAR Permit. The Town reported “no distribution” for 2021 and has not distributed since 2019 due to issues with solids handling equipment. Approximately 441.8 dry tons of residuals were hauled to the White Oaks Landfill located at 3898 Fines Creek Rd in Waynesville. The Town has indicated they only plan to process Class A residuals as requested by customers. It currently costs the Town more to generate a Class A product than to dispose of in the landfill.
