On April 7, 2022 staff of the NC Division of Water Resources (DWR), Water Quality Regional
Operations Section (WQROS), inspected your subject farm.
As a result of the findings during the inspection, you are hereby notified that, in accordance with
the requirements contained in the subject Swine Waste System Permit, you have been found to
be deficient in the following:
Violations:
1) V. (2) Failure to maintain required minimum lagoon freeboard (two lagoons)
Required Corrective Action for Violations:
Obtain compliance within 30 days with minimum lagoon freeboard levels as outlined in the
plans of action submitted to this office 4/7/22.
If you wish to provide additional information regarding the noted violations or discuss
overall compliance, please respond in writing within thirty (30) business days after receipt
of this Notice.
