In cooperation with the Division, the City of Newton is submitting Color
monitoring data as related to the NPDES application. As agreed, the City has
and will continue to conduct effluent, upstream, and downstream color monitoring
on the receiving stream of Clark Creek. Influent sampling was conducted eight
times from 10/04/99 until 1/18/00 to gain preliminary information such as the
influent loading and removal efficiencies. The attached effluent, upstream, and
downstream data covers the time frame of 10/14/99 through 3/22/00. The data
includes date, color analysis results, stream chain of custody forms, and
collection -day stream and weather conditions, as well as pictures of plant
discharge point.
After reviewing, please let me know if the Division has need of continued
or additional monitoring data.
