RE: Worthville Road Boat Access Area (BAA) — Request for Comment
Randolph County
To Whom it May Concern:
The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission (NCWRC) is planning to design and construct a boat access area in
Randolph County on the Deep River. The property is owned by the City of Randleman and the boat access area will be
maintained and operated by the City and serve primarily as a canoe/kayak access area. Construction work will involve
grading, a gravel entrance road, gravel parking area, a 12' concrete ramp, ADA parking and accessible route to the ramp.
NCWRC may be required to submit a PCN to the US Army Corps of Engineers for the applicable permit, pending final
design.
Enclosed with this letter is a location map and proposed site plan for the project. Please review and provide any comments
on the potential for federally listed species or designated critical habitat in the area. Please let me know if you have any
questions related to this project. I can be reached at (919) 707-0083 or via email at michael.legg`gncwildlife.org.
Sincerely,
Jlli*
