Subject: RE: [External] MOTSU FY21 Pavement and Karlman Lane Repairs (SAW-2022-00359)
Date: Friday, April 1, 2022 2:05:00 PM
Good afternoon,
The DWR also lacks the information necessary to confirm that the project will be constructed in
compliance with the Water Quality Certification. It is likely based on the scope of work that the
project qualifies for NW3 permit for maintenance. The following additional information must be
submitted to complete the review.
1. There are no vicinity or project maps in the PCN application. 1 don't know where this proposed
work will take place in MOTSU.
2. Has there been out -reach to USFWS about the proposed work? The application states that the
work will take place in Brackish water. Are these waters potential fish habitat or Endangered fish
Habitat?
3. If this is a project to replace the existing culverts? How will this project "permanently" impact
0.098 acres of wetlands? And "temporarily" impact .40 acres of wetlands?
4. Are the energy dissipators the permanent impacts for North culvert, S1 & S2?
Additional cross section drawings for each crossing depicting the proposed wetland fill, retaining
walls and pipes must be submitted for review. Please account for any temporary impacts associated
with utility line reconstruction. The application is on hold until a response to this request for
additional information has been received by our office. Please feel free to call or email me if you
have any questions.
Sincerely,

Adrienne,
I've reviewed the PCN Application for this project.
Below are my comments:
1. There are no vicinity or project maps in the PCN application. I don't know where this proposed
work will take place in MOTSU.
Without more information on the above items I won't be able to continue my review of this
application and project.
Respectfully,
Gary
