First, you will need to provide me with the below information. Current photos of your shoreline and the buffer A plat of your property (can be obtained from your local county GIS website) Aerial photos (can be obtained from your local county GIS website) 2 A work/site diagram that includes the following: Measurement (in feet) of proposed work ABOVE full pond (76o' elevation) or the high water mark Measurement (in feet) of proposed work BELOW full pond (76o' elevation) or the high water mark A vicinity location map (can be obtained from Google Maps) A signed version (by all parties involved) of the Catawba Riparian Buffer form (attached). There are two formats attached. Please fill out whichever one works best for you. Given that it sounds like you would also like to dredge, you will need to include the location of the spoil pile and owners approval. If you are placing the spoil pile on site, then measures need to be taken to prevent runoff into the lake. If you are placing the spoil off site, then you will need to include a map, plat, aerial photo, and owners agreement at the offsite location. Second, only severely undermined vegetation along the immediate shoreline is to be removed. Any trees 3" or larger in diameter at breast height (which we classify as 4.5' up) must stay within the buffer. Should you have any difficulties or questions along the way, please feel free to reach out.
