Sec. 14-571. - Prohibited activities.
Gastonia, NC Code of Ordinances
(a) It shall be unlawful for any person to place, deposit or permit to be deposited in an unsanitary
manner upon public or private property within the corporate limits of the city or in any area
under its jurisdiction any wastewater, human or animal excrement or other waste of a similar
nature.
(b) It shall be unlawful to discharge or cause to be discharged, to any natural outlet within the
corporate limits of the city or in any area under its jurisdiction, any wastewater, sanitary sewage,
industrial waste or other polluted water, except where suitable treatment has been provided in
accordance with the provisions of this chapter.
(c) It shall be unlawful to discharge or cause to be discharged to any storm sewer or storm drain
within the corporate limits of the city or in any area under its jurisdiction any wastewater,
sanitary sewage, industrial waste or other polluted water except in accordance with the
provisions of this chapter.
