Lot # 18 Kennels Beach, NC Neuse River Basin REQUEST FOR MORE INFORMATION Dear Mr. Champion: On March 10, 2006 the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your Minor Variance application to impact the Neuse River riparian buffer to construct a proposed dwelling. The DWQ has determined that your application was incomplete and/or provided inaccurate information as discussed below. The DWQ will require additional information in order to process your application to impact protected riparian buffer on the subject property. Therefore, unless we receive the additional information requested below, we will have to move toward denial of your application as required by 15A NCAC 2B .0233 and will place this project on hold as incomplete until we receive this additional information. Please provide the following information so that we may continue to review your project. Additional Information Requested: 1. Realignment The plat provided indicates that there is an area to the east that the dwelling can be shifted to avoid buffer impacts. The realignment would shift the dwelling towards the septic field and away from the riparian buffer. Indicate why this can not be accomplished. 2. Impacts In the application under Part 2: Proposed Activity #1 in bold letters at the end of the paragraph indicates that the area of buffer impacts be given in square footage. Please provide this information. 3. Plat Provide a corrected plat with all new impacts shown on site (ie. New dwelling, driveway, septic field, ect.)
