This permit was originally issued on December 6, 1983. Since the issuance of the last permit, we have construct 2 new solids settling lagoons as well as an upgraded supernatant pumping station. All supernatant is either recycled to the head of the plant or discharged to the sanitary sewer. The outfall for the lime settling part of the plant operation has been removed (old outfall 001). Old Outfalls 002 and 003 are the drains on the potable water storage tanks. They still exist and have been renamed Outfall 001 and 002 for this permit period. These tanks do not contain chemical disinfection and are pH adjusted to 7.2. Discharge from the outfalls is very rare. There has been no discharge from any of the Outfalls in over 10 years.
