Dear Mr. and Mrs. Wammock:
Coleen H. Sullins, Director
Division of Water Quality
DWQ Project # 07-1232
Franklin County
On July 17, 2007, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received an application from you for a Minor
Variance from the Tar-Pamlico Buffer Rules (15A NCAC 02B.0259) for a deck and a shed that were in
place prior to you buying the subject property. Since you are not performing any new impacts to the
protected Tar-Pamlico Riparian Buffers and you are not the ones that installed the deck and shed in the
protected Tar-Pamlico Riparian Buffers, you are not required to obtain a minor variance from DWQ for
the deck and shed.
You should obtain or otherwise comply with any other required federal, state or local permits before you
go ahead with your project including (but not limited to) Erosion and Sediment Control, Non-discharge
regulations.
Please call Ms. Cyndi Karoly or Ms. Amy Chapman at (919) 733-1786 if you have any questions or
require copies of our rules or procedural materials.
incerely,
.~
