Jim asked me to find out what we needed to do next so we could get work started. I had left a message with Mr. Klutz, but then I decided to talk to Cayce Burwell. She left me with the impression that we could start building as soon as we got the letter /permit from you. After I talked to Cayce, Mr. Klutz called me and he said we needed to take the letter /permit to duke and get a permit from duke, he was out in the field so communication was not that clear. I called Cayce back, but she is away from her desk or since it was 4:00 maybe even left for the day. Perhaps all of this is spelled out in what vve get from you. But for our peace of mind, can you tell us if we need to do another application and where vvegoto get it? Thanks, appreciate your help and I know it is late on a Friday. Top of existing wood wall isa76O. The wood wall is only 3'-6" high by1OOftlong. Sovve said 4OO sq. ft. When we sent the application in, the water level was a little below the bottom of the wall, all work could be done in the dry. The contractor was going to remove the existing rip-rap with a track mount mini excavator with a wide bucket and place in a trailer and store on my property. The new rock will be larger boulders that he will install with a claw devise, again with the mini excavator. He will remove the existing wood and posts, place a filter fabric against the existing earth and fill any void spaces with #57 stone gravel. The existing lawn will have some disturbance, that's why the excavator will be track mounted. The Rock was tobe delivered on a small double axle trailer, again to minimize disturbance to the lawn. The contractor was to repair and reseed the lawn as required. We will not be moving earth or disturbing any trees behind the wall so answered no impact above 760 elevation. The new wall will be capped at the same elevation as the existing wall , 760.00 Structures, Inc. But here are the questions I have regarding your application: You are proposing 400 sq. ft. of impacts below the normal pool with no impacts above? Are you removing the wooden wall and adding rock above the water line? If so, please the sq. footage of that impact for the impact amounts above the normal pool. • Will this work be conducted from land or water (barge for example)? • 1 see the pictures provided but was wondering if you could send me a few more to show some erosion and to justify why the work is needed. Sending them email will be fine. Justification could be "replacing existing ".
