The operator will uses a floating suction dredge to remove sand from the river, runs it through a separator to remove the water, places sand on the stream bank and returns the water to the river. The water and storm water drains from the wet sand drains back to the river. The regional office recommends the issuance of the permit, however the permittee should be warned not to violate the water quality standards for turbidity, stable/vegetated stream banks must be maintained, and dredging equipment must be maintained in a manner to prevent petroleum Teaks and spills. eA Sign - re of Report Preparer 1/Va6 Water Quality Regional Superviso Date -4- Page 1 of 1 Send To Printer Back To TerraServer Change to 11x17 Print Size ZUSGS 13 km SW of Forest City North Carolina, ,,.--... . :=.--.;\ ; '.%'..,.;•(,.„s!„N,VN,1!,-. .'..1;,-1 ''.. ..,", ''1,"-•_'...C_.:',IP '7t;?•-•1„ 1 0• ii.I;' .i, ' r..
