Good morning,
There are several items that are coming right away . David needs to discuss with you:
Electrical Service:
Attached is the electrical service on the corn
before it fails. This is a safety concern. Estim
and Portside. David would like to change this out
labor and materials $900.00
Filter:
The filter needs to be dug out and cake sludge in the bottom removed, He would like to add sand in the filter from
your pit (asking Crum to deliver). The work is estimated to take 3 days with renting a small front end loader to
assist in hauling out the sludge from plant. He has estimated the project to run close to $5,000.00. The equipment
rental is 1,000.00. The rest is labor for three men working 10 hrs per day for 3 days. David has been working
hard to figure out the most economic way to tackle this. The filter has about 3 plus feet deep of solids and the filter
is app 40 feet long. He's estimated about 40 yards to be removed and 15 yards of clean sand to be placed back in,
Note: This would satisfy the rebedding of the filter requested by DENR
Lattitude:
There is a pump repair that will require digging out the riser to access, replace pump, and re -plumb for future
access. The pump needs to be replaced and David has estimated 18 hours of labor to dig out, repair and put back
on line. Estimated repair cost 2,300.00.
Ch cals:
Thhlorine and the de -chemical agent need to be ordered. The minimum quantities that could be ordered and
delivered to Kinnakeet was estimated at about just under 1,000.00. This original quote had been e-mailed to you.

Record Keeping : Reports were sent on to Central Mail Service Center in a timely manner. Copies
have been furnished and are current.
Treatment Activated Sludge — The plant operates using one blower at a time. There are two working
blowers present, the #1 and the #3. The plant has three motors. The #2 blower
has a missing motor.
The cost to replace the #2 blower motor from $6,072.00 to $6,932.00. This does
not include freight. Weights range from 847 to 1051 lbs.
End Use -Reuse
Treatment -Abated-
A rex E20 coupling estimated $225.00
A coupling hub (E20-1 7/8 bore) If old one cannot be located $unknown
The Sensus 101 8" meter is not recording due to a dead battery. Sensus has
informed that the battery is not a repair part and the seal register has to be
replaced. {Part 72A ROFI Electronic sealed register estimated cost from
Ferguson $ 695.00 plus shipping.
Internal Clarifier drive is now working. Drive motor, chain sprocket, and chain
have been repaired. Current treatment does not require the use of the internal
clarifier. It is not being used at this time
Treatment Disinfection Only one of the three chambers is currently being used. The UV disinfection has
2 working lamps. It is in need of replacement lamps. There are no replacement
lamps on site.

past due. We did receive a check for $1,000 several months ago and we were assured that we
would be receiving $1,000 per month moving forward. We have not received any additional
money since that one check and I have made numerous phone calls to Ray Hollowell with no
response.
Please let me know what you think that I should do to try and get this situation fixed. As you
know, we enjoy working with you and David and hope to be able to continue assisting with
this facility.

Update: Inspection of Kinnakeet Waste Water Plant and Collection
System
Inspection started at approximately 10:45. Present, were Robert
Tankard, Sara Topping, Rod and Paul. Paul was a new hire, so the
inspection was also an education. The inspection started at the
headworks and preceded following the flow of the plant treatment.
The DWQ staff had questions about blowers (horse power, 75 and
number working (1)). The de -nitrification process was explained to
Paul. Robert Tankard asked questions about the traveling bridge filter.
We operated the traveling bridge filter and it operated. He asked if the
media in the filter had been replaced. We informed him that it had not
been replaced. General condition of the building was discussed.
Robert and Paul collected grab samples. We discussed that we had just
backwashed the filter.. Preceding the inspection and during the
inspection, we were experiencing a rain event. Samples were pulled
from the effluent trough, the pond and two ditch samples were taken.
All samples collected were grab samples.
Robert Tankard recommended that we not re -bed filter at this time. He
also stated that Chlorine was no longer required. He said this on the
last site visit he made.
Michelle Pharr and Sara Topping reviewed the paperwork, while Robert
Tankard Rod and Paul did a quick inspection of the collection system.
We started at Dory were the WGLO-03 grinder pumps had been
installed when both original pumps had failed. We covered how the
pumps are connected to the existing control panel with appropriate size
starters. Flows were discussed. I stated that I felt we were ok, based on

the flow through the Thanksgiving Holiday, we were able to maintain
until March, We also covered how the two Myers pumps WGL20-03
were controlling flow going into the plant, with the collection system
acting as an EQ.
Lakeside Lift Station was inspected. Due to the morning rain event, 1 was
the only one able to get to the control panel because 1 was wearing
knee boots. There was six to eight inches of standing water around the
control panel. I was able to demonstrate both pumps were operating.
We looked at the #2 residential control panel. I demonstrated the single
pump system operating. ft was discussed that we had approximately 25
pumps out of service in the residential duplex systems.
Also discussed was the check valve failure in the backwash filter.
Temporary bypass was installed closing the valve and running 2" over
top of the plant.
