MEMORANDUM
TO: Dean Cunningham
FROM: Connie Heavenerei,
THRU: Randy William
Steve Tedder
At your request, the model for the Tbwn of Kenansville was re-evaluated
using the new K2 equation. New summer and winter limits for BOD5 and NH3N
were derived. They are as follows:
Summer
Winter
BOD5 18 mg/1 24 mg/1 or 30 mg/1
NH3N 5 mg/1 13 mg/1 or 11 mg/1
DO 5.0 mg/1 5.0 mg/1
If the treatment plant could meet a dissolved oxygen concentration in the
effluent of 6.0 mg/1, the limits would be slightly better. They are:
CH:cs
Summer Winter
BOD5 16 mg/1 or 20 mg/1 24 mg/1 or 30 mg/1
NH3N 6 mg/1 or 5 mg/1 14 mg/1 or 12 mg/1
DO 6 mg/1 6 mg/1
If we can be of any additional assistance, please notify us.
