DWR is glad that additional live stakes were installed to aid in shading. If the in-stream vegetation is not identified as an invasive species, DWR would recommend MY4 be the last year of herbicide control in order for the IRT to properly evaluate how this system is naturally trending, unless a formal adaptive management plan is proposed. 2. DWR appreciated the level of detail provided in the monitoring report narratives, particularly the areas of concern and adaptive management sections. 3.DWR recommends watching sweet gum densities in MY4 and MY5 to determine if thinning would benefit site species diversity and planted stem success. Casey Haywood, USACE: 1.65 elm were recorded in VP1, recommend only counting volunteers that are over 12 inchesin height. Todd Tugwell Mitigation Project Manager Regulatory Division
