Thank you for your conversation this afternoon. Per your request, I have summarized key points from our conversation
today.
Our general stormwater permit number is NCG060359. We are under the City of High Point MS4. We have three
outfalls on our site.
We discharge our wastewater to the City of High Point under an industrial user permit.
Stormwater Outfall 001 is co-combined runoff from the outdoor portions of the western side of our site that meets a
City of High Point stormwater sewer(coming from elsewhere in the city).
Outfall 002 is roof drains from the office and lab areas of our plant, not from production roofed areas.
Outfall 003 is runoff from our receiving dock, outside empty tote and pallet storage, outside of our maintenance shops,
and the drive from the Grimes Avenue gate all the way back toward our bulk tanker loading/unloading bay(the latter
bay is sent to our wastewater system). We have made some improvements in this area since 2020, including additional
concreting of the drive areas, as well as building an outfall retention box with a discharge valve.
We have exceeded the TSS benchmark from the discharge at Outfall 003 in December 2020,June 2021, and February
2022, which we associate with dust from unpaved surfaces (crusher run).
During our conversation,you suggested that we consider using an experienced stormwater consulting/engineering firm
to assist us with ways to decrease the TSS discharged.
