The division has received two applications for shoreline stabilization projects for 511 Dobson View.  

Please provide confirmation and/or clarification regarding the location and parcel numbers for these two projects.  

DWR 22‐0306 , 511 Dobsons View, (35.741195, ‐81.942165) 
               ‐Impacts of 120 feet for shoreline stabilization and 600 square feet of Zone 1 buffer impact 
‐The location and project name for DWR 22‐306 aligns with the parcel containing the residence to the south.

DWR 22‐0307, Dobsons View 2 parcel 172300679585, (35.443240, ‐81.563310) 
               ‐Impacts of 100 feet for shoreline stabilization and 300 square feet of Zone 1 buffer impact.  
‐The location and project name for DWR 22‐0307 does not align with the smaller parcel to the north. McDowell 
County GIS reports this parcel as “172300780060” and is located at 35.742240, -81.942427.

On February 24, 2022 the Division of Water Resources (Division) received your application requesting a 401 Water 
Quality Certification from the Division for the subject project, with the appropriate fee received on February 24, 2022 
The Division has determined that your application is incomplete and cannot be processed. The application is on‐hold 
until all of the following information is received: 

1. Please provide a photograph of the shoreline/ buffer proposed to be stabilized.  

Pursuant to Title 15A NCAC 02H .0502(e), the applicant shall furnish all of the above requested information for the 
proper consideration of the application.  Please respond in writing within 30 calendar days. If all of the requested 
information is not received within 30 calendar days of receipt of this letter, the Division will be unable to approve the 
application and it will be denied as incomplete.  The denial of this project will necessitate reapplication to the Division 
for approval, including a complete application package and the appropriate fee.
