Dear Mr. Goodman:
On December 28, 2021, Michael Meilinger of the North Carolina Division of Water Resources (DWR), Water Quality
Regional Operations Section (WQROS), conducted a Compliance Evaluation Inspection of facility AWC490041. During
the inspection there was no usable Waste Analysis for pumping events that occurred October 4-7, 2021, on small
grain.
Violation I: III. Monitoring and Reporting Requirements 5.
An analysis of a representative sample of the animal waste to be applied shall be conducted in accordance with
recommended laboratory sampling procedures as close to the time of application as practical and at least within sixty
(60) days (before or after) of the date of application. Every reasonable effort shall be made to have the waste
analyzed prior to the date of application and as close to the time of waste application as possible. This analysis shall
include the following parameters: Nitrogen, Zinc, Copper, and Phosphorus —[G.S. §143-215.10C(e)(6)J
