Hi -
When my family moved to North Durham nearly 10 years ago, we did so in large part because of the natural
beauty and the local government's desire to listen to their constituents and protect natural spaces. The
development of Black Meadow Ridge near the West Point on the Eno is a simply awful. It is antithetical to
Durham values and devastating to the environment. Even more than that, the process that led to this point is
offensive to the voters and tax payers of Durham. It appears that errors were made in the survey process, that
some land was cleared without proper stormwater department approval and that the voice of the citizens is being
ignored at best and not even asked for at worst. Durham has values and included in those values are listening to
the constituents and protecting our ever shrinking natural environment. Please stop this project. You will be on
the right side of history for protecting that which gives us life and enjoyment.
