I fully believe this development project will do irreparable harm to the Eno River Park as well as deprive Durham
of one of the city's most attractive natural attractions.
I spent much of my childhood at the Eno exploring, attending camps, cookouts, and the Eno River Festival.
Beginning at a young age, I learned a great deal about the importance of natural conservation from being at the
Eno and I have carried those lessons with me my whole life. I had always hoped one day I would be able to take
my children down to the Eno but I feel that this development would make that an unlikely future.
Furthermore, with all the development in Durham, we have already seen many of our urban landmarks alrered,
and not necessarily for the better. Do we really want our natural landmarks developed too?
