Wildlife in this area are already struggling to establish a safe environment after being pushed out of NHS
construction site. It's become common to see deer struck by cars in this area on a daily basis. This development
will amplify this problem. As this development is robbing wildlife of homes but also creating road safety hazards
near a school environment as these confused animals are fleeing.
Construction erosion that will contaminate the river and disrupt the ecosystem is also a concern. Of all places to
develop such a large housing development, placing it on the border of a valued natural park just seems so
counterintuitive and destructive to what little natural habit in Northern Durham.
