Comment The Eno has been a source of peace and serenity throughout my entire life growing up in Durham. Some of my earliest school memories were field trips to West Point and the grist mill. As an adult, I have spent years hiking the trails at West Point with my dog, Beula. I have played with friends in the water, attended the festival for the Eno, fallen in love with my now partner and found solace in the quiet of the woods along the river. I am a realtor and I am aware that Durham does need more affordable housing, but the destruction of this beautiful natural resource and community gathering place is not the answer. Additionally, this developer has no regard for the well-being of Durham and the numerous ecosystems that exist here. They do not plan to provide affordable housing, or serve anyone other than their own selfish interests with this project. A new housing development can be built over and over again wherever land is available. The beauty of undisturbed nature and the importance of this river is not duplicable. I plead that you put and end to the clearing and development of this land. Most sincerely, Marie Brockenbrough, Durham resident since 1988 Upload Supplementary Files Pdf file type only Any information (e.g., personal or contact) you provide on this comment form or in an attachment may be publicly disclosed and searchable on the Internet and will be provided to the Department or Agency issuing the notice.
