While I'm generally supportive of developers helping to grow our city, we have few preserves like West Point on
the Eno and the surrounding forest land.
It doesn't seem appropriate to choose a building location that 1) clears many acres of such a scarce resource
within Durham's growing urban sprawl; and 2) apparently risks environmental impacts as well.
There are many developers choosing many more suitable urban locations for their projects that neither injure
scarce resources nor come with similar risks. This project, too, would be better in some altered form in a different
location.
