This project will do more harm than is reflected in the assessments. It will affect downstream water quality and
ecosystems, harming wildlife in one of the area's most important green spaces. It will also degrade the beautiful
natural area so many in Durham spend time in for hiking, running and other recreational activities. There are
alternative locations for new development that will have a lower impact on our environment, something we
should be trying even more fervently to protect as climate change becomes a more pressing issue by the day.
