Growing up in Durham, West Point on the Eno was a special place for my family. Not only was in an escape form
the city, it was an example of a pristine piece of land that was well loved and cared for. I'm worried that is
development would have a negative impact on the River. Not only from and environmental standpoint, but form
the precedent that it sets. Healthy green spaces are not just important for environmental health of our
community, but for our mental health as well. It concerns me that spaces close to the park and River would be
considered for a development such as this. Greens spaces like these acres under consideration are essential
buffers for the park.
