I was born and raised in Durham and I am highly concerned about the impact of this project on a beloved park. I
do not believe the environmental concerns have been fully taken into account of having so much co structuring
runoff and then habitation so near to the park. The development would change the character of the park —the
trails would be more urban instead of forested. I am especially concerned about blasting for the project. I do not
believe the project takes into account the new location of Northern High School and the traffic and noise
implications of adding a development right across the street. And lastly, the developer has already illegally
cleared trees without a permit. That alone should raise some red flags and cause this developed to be
scrutinized more heavily.
