Please pick the response below that represents your stance on the above mentioned project?* Yes - I agree with the project. No - I do not agree with the project. Comment I am in agreement with the Save Blackmeadow Ridge group's detailed reasons for halting this project! I am specifically concerned about the high density housing, which will greatly increase runoff of non -friendly chemicals into the Eno River AND the Teer Quarry! I also am extremely concerned about runoff causing flooding in the Eno Park area, possibly damaging our historic site and beloved preserved area that includes endangered species of plants, not to mention the effect on wildlife! I agree that the Army Corps of Engineers, the National Preservation Society, and Durham Dept of Water Engineering should be consulted concerning this development & should halt any construction under the current proposal until the developer meets all environmental safety acts, clean water safety acts, & National Historic Preservation acts that are necessary to preserve clean water, non -toxic environments for plants and wildlife, and to preserve the West Point on the Eno Park as we know and enjoy it. This is a foolish choice for high density housing and I implore that the development be reconsidered and reconstituted to show respect for maintaining low percentage run-off, minimal noise pollution, and no risk to the integrity of our historic site. Yes we need more housing, but we MUST commit to being as environmentally friendly as possible!!!
