The North Carolina Department of Transportation is starting the project development,
environmental studies, and engineering studies for the replacement of Bridge No. 420054 in
Harnett County.
The replacement of this Division 6 bridge is currently scheduled for Let in SFY 2026.
We would appreciate any information you might have that would be helpful in evaluating potential
environmental impacts of the project. If applicable, please identify any permits or approvals that may be
required by your agency. Your comments will be used in the preparation of the environmental document.
Further, you are cordially invited to the Virtual Field Scoping Meeting TBD. A calendar invitation with all
virtual connection information will be sent to you as well. We value your opinion as your comments will
enable us to evaluate the impacts of the proposed project and address your concerns. If you
are not able to attend the meeting, please provide written/email comments back to me by May 14th, 2022.
