Please pick the response below that represents your stance on the above mentioned project?* Yes - I agree with the project. No - I do not agree with the project. Comment I am concerned about development in this area for two reasons: water quality (including run-off to the Eno River) and the threats to endangered species and the environment which have been so successfully managed at Eno River State Park. This is not a racial equity or a NIMBY issue, but an issue in which the zoning of the land can be preserved for all the future citizens of Durham County and beyond, without placing private gains above the quality of life of our citizens. Blasting and runoff are deleterious to such a good quality of life. Privately, I want to say that my wife and I were married at the Mangum House, West Point on the Eno, and we have returned frequently with our children, born and raised in Durham, to that wonderful spot over forty years. The Friends of the Eno have done wonderfully in collaborating with the NC DEQ and in preserving and extending this wonderful buffer, in the midst of encroaching development --which can be observed often abandons its initial use within 20 years. Please do allow future generations to enjoy the park, and to have wonderful quality drinking water throughout the Neuse Basin. As we've seen with the Chemours plant, compliance with meek regulations does not do the job. Thank you for considering my comment, and for your service.
