I grew up next to the Eno, so most of my earliest memories include wading in the beautiful river and trying to
catch crawdads and snakes much to my mom's disdain. I wouldn't have the same love for the earth that I have
now if I hadn't spent so many formative moments so closely intertwined with West Point. There is nothing I want
more than to preserve all the beauty the park has to offer so that some day I can take my children to the river
and teach them how to coexist peacefully with the earth. This development would be extremely problematic for
the Eno environment and it breaks my heart to see so much of Durham change from the city I loved growing up.
