Like much development in and around Durham, this project was proposed without regard to citywide
development plans, zoning, or the environmental impacts on adjacent parkland. The developers have shown
little regard for neighbors and those who enjoy the park by proceeding to level sections of woods even without
the development permits.
West Point on the Eno is a great resource for the community and is enjoyed on a daily basis for hiking, by river
lovers, and as well as many educational activities. Don't let a great park get destroyed by irresponsible adjacent
development.
