I'd like to voice my emphatic opposition to the Westpoint Development permit application. This is a matter of
significant public interest to the community of Durham and the people of this community should have a say.
West Point and the Eno are among our community's s greatest environmental and cultural treasures. As
someone who worked as a water quality professional years, the environmental impact such a development
would have would is being significantly understated and would have detrimental impacts on most of our
community as well as Orange County, and the destruction to our ecological health would be severe.
Now is the time for Durham to set an example for a path to the future for communities as we have so many times
before, and that path requires prioritizing our water and ecological security. No to the Westpoint Development!
