I am shocked and disappointment to hear about the proposed development at West Point on the Eno. I have just
learned of this, and cannot believe that there has not been an opportunity for public comment. We citizens of
Durham treasure this West Point property on our Eno River. Margaret Nygard, who led efforts to preserve the
Eno River land, has always been a hero to me. Destruction of this property will threaten historic sites, our water
quality, our public safety, and endangered species. The West Point on the Eno Park and the Eno River are
Durham's most beautiful and precious assets. Please allow plenty of time for public comment and do not allow
this effort to continue. I support affordable public housing, but not at the expense of our irreplaceable natural
treasures.
