I just do not believe that this project is in the best interest for citizens of Durham, environmentally or for the great
quality of living that the Eno river gives this community in so many diverse ways. I believe that we should be
protecting this invaluable resource.
Did any of you see the increase of use during the last Covid 19 years? I have walked the many trails since 1980,
and have never seen so much interest and use. Beautiful and affordable for all. It seems to me that endangering
or diminishing such a resource is the exact opposite of would be good for Durham long term.
I will let the experts speak to the environmental and water quality issues, but I have seen devastating effects
from developments built in the wrong place and without the proper safeguards, and support the comments I have
read that object to this project.
