I have lived in Durham for over 40 years and have watched my community grow. Durham today is a vibrant and
engaged community.
One of the gems of our area is the Westpoint on the Eno Park. This planned development named above will
devastate the river and surrounding areas. Clear cutting nearly 60 acres along this delicate riparian zone will
harm wildlife seen and unseen. It will damage water quality in the river and mar the tranquility of the park.
The choices we make on the local level collectively drive the path either to conservation or to destruction of our
environment. Please reconsider approving this project. Please choose to protect the Eno River and its tributaries
by reducing the human destruction of this land.
