The system stopped receiving influent in Jan. 2020. The flow that was going to this system is
now going to the Maple Comm. Park system (WQ0035231).
The facultative lagoon was decommissioned in March 2021 and the lagoon liner and solids have
been removed and properly disposed. The lagoon berm has been graded level.
The influent pump station and barscreen have been closed and removed.
The effluent disinfection system, flow meter, and irrigation pumps have been removed and the
line to the spray field had been cut and capped.
The above items were observed during the site inspection on 9/17/21.
Currituck County abandoned the 4 monitoring wells on 2/11/22 and provided the abandonment
records to WaRO on 2/21/22. These records have been uploaded to Laserfiche.
