The development is part of an approved master plan that includes 622 total units. The modified gravity sewer system consists of 18 manholes and totals 4,553 LF in pipe length. The material used will be 8" PVC pipe (1,744 LE), 10" PVC/DIP pipe (1,700 LF), and 12" DIP (1,109 LF). This design modifies permit number WQ0042276 per the attached map to include a new gravity sanitary sewer route and exclude a previously permitted portion of the project which included a lift station. The Tots not included with this submittal but were part of the referenced permit number will be re -permitted at a later date. The proposed project will meet all of DWR' s minimum design criteria for sanitary sewer extensions. The design flow rate for this project is calculated at 28,840 GPD based on NCAC 2T Rules for wastewater flow rates and the anticipated flow from the 79 single family residential lots. The proposed sanitary sewer line sizes are more than adequate to convey the design flow rates. Additional future sewer services are proposed to be installed along the route but will not be placed into service until Tots are permitted by the City of Sanford and NCDEQ.
