OK, I think that the meeting would be a good idea, just send me any pertinent information that you have (such
as communication from the county, proposed design changes, calculations, etc...) prior to the meeting so that
I can familiarize myself with it.

Jim,
I spoke with Rick, thank you. He was a wealth of great information but he does not think this issue involves him and does
believe its most likely a bigger issue for Lincoln County than DEQ. However, he did touch on your point about possibly
being an issue with the stormwater permit so I think this comes back to you. Should we schedule a call to discuss next
steps or would it be easier for me to create an email introduction with you, the Geotech and the client so that you can
be presented with all the facts? I suspect, depending on the outcome of any conversations with the Geotech, you would
have better direction for any next steps.
Please advise on the best course of action and ill assist with coordination.
Thank you

EXTERNAL: Use caution with attachments and links.
I’d start of by contacting Rick Bolich (rick.bolich@ncdenr.gov), he’s the section chief of the Groundwater Resources
Section within DWR. He may not be the “right person”, but he should know who the right person is.
If the issue that the County is bringing up is related to directing this groundwater flow into an SCM, then I would also
need to be involved since that would (potentially) impact the SCM design.
If Rick isn’t the right person or if he doesn’t know who the right person is, let me know.

Jim,
Thank you for your assistance.
Please get me the POC for the groundwater/spring recently encountered on our project at the corner of Crescent
Dellinger and North Pilot Knob Road. We will reach out to the appropriate DEQ contact to seek resolution.
Thank you
