Describe the existing land use or condition of the site at the time of this application: * We have 135 feet of lake front and have had wooden retaining wall for over 17 yrs (we purchased property in 2014). Time, water and muskrats have eroded retaining wall and it is now truly disintegrating in several places causing erosion of our yard that is progressing. There are several holes and eroded areas in the grassy yard. Residential, undeveloped, etc. 6. Property Size 0.42 Acres 7. Describe proposed work (include discussion as to how hardening of shoreline has been avoided, or why it is necessary): Replacing current wooden retaining wall (135 ft) is necessary to protect our property. Current wooden vertical wall will be removed and replaced with small/medium stone to stabilize the shoreline and prevent further damage to the property. 8. Please describe the vegetation above the normal pool lake level/ normal water level and 50 feet landward to be impacted:* (number of trees, for instance) There is approximately 25 feet of scrub vegetation on the extreme north side of the shoreline (left in attached pictures) that my be disturbed by the removal of current retaining wall and placement of rock wall.
