The site appears adequate. The discharge will have to travel approximately 200 over a forest floor with a good cover of leaf litter. This will prevent erosion and provide some natural filtering of the discharge. The RRO recommends issuance of the permit. EFFLUENT LIMITATIONS AND MONITORING REQUIREMENTS FINAL Permit No. NC0085111 During the period beginning on the effective date of the permit and lasting until expiration, the Permittee is authorized to discharge from outfall(s) serial number 001. If the turbidity exceeds these levels due to natural background conditions, the discharge level cannot cause any increase in the turbidity in the receiving water. All samples collected should be of a representative discharge. The pH shall not be less than 6.0 standard units nor greater than 9.0 standard units and shall be monitored quarterly at the effluent by grab sample.
