On November 18, 2021, the Division of Energy, Mineral and Land Resources received your request
to rescind your coverage under Certificate of Coverage Number NCG020318.
Based on our review of your request and the recommendation of our Mooresville Regional Office,
your request for rescission has been denied. Your request was denied because there is sparse
permanent groundcover on site, particularly on the edge of the stream bank and the stream bank
itself. This also prevents the release of the related mining permit. Once this issue is fixed, please
submit a new rescission request so a rescission can be granted. Your Certificate of Coverage
Number NCG020318 will remain in effect, and you must continue to comply with your NPDES
stormwater permit.
