Re: Bermuda Run Juniper Pump Station and WWTP Demolition
The Town of Bermuda Run proposes to decommission its wastewater treatment plant
(NC0055158) and discharge its wastewater to Davie County's newly constructed
Eastern Davie Pump station (WQ0039884) for ultimate discharge to the CCUC Muddy
Creek Interceptor and treatment at the Muddy Creek Wastewater Treatment plant (NC
0050342).
Bermuda Run's current treatment facility is permitted for 0.193 MGD. It operated at an
average annual flow of 0.151 MGD during the period October of '20 through September
of '21.
The renovated pump station will have a firm capacity of approximately 0.936 MGD to
allow for system expansion and I&l. Its nominal capacity will be 0.250 MGD with a
peaking factor of approximately 3.75. The pumps will be equipped with variable
frequency drives and the station will support chemical addition for grease and odor
control. The Juniper station will discharge directly into the Eastern Davie station without
intervening sewers.
Enclosed please find one original and one copy of the following:
1. A $480.00 check to NCDEQ — Water Quality for permit fees.
2. Executed form FTA 04-16 and supporting documentation.
3. Executed form FTSE 10-18 for intermediate sewers in Davie County.
4. Winston/Forsyth Flow Acceptance Letter
5. Executed form FTSE 10-18 for treatment at the Muddy Creek WWTP.
6. 8.5X11" USGS topo map of project area,
7. 8.5X11" aerial photomap of the project area.

In Re: Juniper Pump Station Renovation Flow Acceptance
Dear Mr. Lambert:
This letter is to confirm that the City/County Utility Commission will accept the sewerage from Juniper
Pump Station Renovation.
We are currently treating 317,939 gallons per day. Our contract with Davie County has a maximum
discharge of 5,000,000 gallons per day; therefore, we should encounter no problems in treating an
additional 250,000 gallons per day. This sewerage will be treated at our Muddy Creek Wastewater
Treatment Plant (NC0050342). The wastewater collection system serving this area is properly sized and
maintained for this service.
If you have any questions concerning this subject, please. give me a call at (336) 747-6842.
