Thank you for your email. I am no longer in the Asheville office, and
returned to Wilmington about a year ago. I am the Wilmington Regulatory point
of contact for the Swansboro Investors, LLC project in Swansboro, NC.
The Hofmann Forest Mitigation Bank services the area in which the impacts
are proposed for this project. Proposed impacts would be to non - riparian
wetlands. Typically the applicant provides an acceptance letter from the
mitigation bank to us with the application.
Haywood: We would require that letter prior to our permit decision.

Mr. Haywood Pittman asked if I would inform his USACE contact regarding my
response to his question if there were any non - riparian mitigation credits
for sale in the Hofmann Forest Bank. I replied to him in the affirmative
below. I did not ask if Hofmann Forest credits were suitable for imapcts
associated with ID # is SAW - 2013 -01412 in Swansboro, but if they are; there
are more than enough to cover 0.44 credits worth of impacts.
Are you in Asheville? If so, are you the appropriate USACE contact?

There are more than 200 non - riparian credits available for purchase from the
Hofmann Forest Wetland Bank.
The price per non - riparian credit is $49,423 in this hydrologic unit, so the
total purchase price for 0.44 non - riparian credits would be $21,746.12
